First contest of the year of 06 and is this winter? Never sweat so
much up on the tower in January and in a short sleeve shirt wow !. Well
there was certainly no RF propagation to speak of it was like a bubble that
at times it would let some long Q's in then closed up. Oh I was abele to
work into EN74, EN53 and EN41, But you had to be there and waiting for it,
then jump on it. Lots of that secret mode called Mores Code more then I
every had to do in a normal contest. On some of those close in contacts
when I work KC0IYT on 432 down south his signal would come and go, That was
just wearied and normally I can work K2DRH and KM0T from 6 to there highest
bands. NOT this time. Looking at the scores of the boys to the east and
to the south looks like they had more fun, Oh I should say we did have a
blast on the 10 GHz locally, the best turn out in a look time scenes the 10
GHz and up contest. So to wrap this up it seemed like it did not matter if
you operated 6 meters or 1296 its was not easy. Every one enjoy this
strange weather we are having and that might explain the RF conditions. Oh
good luck on those logs to the Robot. 73's Dave N0KP
