Hello everyone,
Well another contest done, this was certainly one that took some work with
conditions as they were. Despite several recent posts, I was able to push
the old FT-736R along with good success. I think its a fine old rig which
has treated me well during the last couple of contests. I'm not electronics
inclined, just a self proclaimed "appliance operator" (just plug and play).
I also run the FT-650 on 6 meters. My rigs get a workout throughout the
year though, not just during the contests, maybe there in better shape, hi
hi. The M2 antennas on the tower seem to have proven themselves once again.
I plan on having 1296 on the air by the June contest.
Great work by the rovers ! Thank you!
I will see you in June, untill then fire up those rigs during the week, make
a little noise, you might be suprised at who you will work.
