[NLRS] 10 GHz & Up Contest Write-Up

Hello NLRS land.

The 2005 10 GHz & Up contest results are now publically available on the
Members Only portion of the ARRLs website at
http://www.arrl.org/contests/results/ along with line scores.
Congratulations to Gary, WB0LJC, for taking first place nationally in the
10 GHz & Up category, followed in second place by John, W0JT, and Bob,
W0AUS in third.   NLRS took first, second, and third in that catagory !
In the 10 GHz Only category, the W6/XE2 connection resulted in first
through fifth place with lots of long contacts in the 800 + km range.
After this group there is the NLRS consortium led by Bruce, W9FZ taking
sixth place.   After Bruce, in 7th thru 11th place we have VOI, ZQ, KP, UK,
and JI.     The W6-boys only beat us by about 43K this year ..... the gap
is shortening !      In addition,  the NLRS guys had the top six places for
number of QSOs with Bruce again leading the way with 555 QSO ...... all on
10 GHz !     Our region sure had a great showing, what a fun contest.   I'm
already looking forward to next years event.
