I have given serious consideration to roving and decided to stay (mostly) home. Just too much stuff to do. Next year. For rovers, the good news is that the long range weather forecast (??) looks good with no major snow event on the horizon and highs in the low 30's. So, W0ZQ will indeed be active from the home station, EN34iu, on 6m through 3456. Sometime on Sunday afternoon, assuming no major Au event, etc., etc., I will most likely go locally roving with at least 2m FM, 5.7, 10, and 24 GHz to EN34 and EN35. Depending on "stuff", I may be able to "easily" throw another band or two in such as 902 (W0GHZ, can I borrow ?) and/or 1296. According to the contest rules, W0ZQ (EN34), W0ZQ/R (EN34) and W0ZQ/R (EN35) are ALL legal contacts .... this year I will give Dan H. a heads-up prior to submitting logs.
So, in summary, W0ZQ (EN34iu) will be on from the home station, 6m through 3456. On Sunday afternoon, look for W0ZQ/r from EN34 and EN35 with at least 2m FM, 5.7, 10, and 24 GHz. I may also be able to throw in some of the more common lower bands (ie; EN35 is a hole on 902) like 432, 902, 1296 as my log periodic antenna will cover those bands.
What is everyone else up too ?
73, Jon
W0ZQ
