Was it that obvious?  :-)   I apologize too for hijacking W0JT's thread
about power meters.  Thanks for changing the subject line.

I appreciate the comments on how to work with these SMT parts.  I am
familiar with a number of the SMT work processes including hot air
workstations and all that.  I guess I was just hoping to run into some
novel prototype techniques that might not require fabbing a PCB-- such as
adapter boards or whatever.   But I haven't found any answers down that
path other than just popping for the eval boards (which I have done).
If the thing pans out, then I'll go make a board and probably tool up
for SMT rework since clearly there are fewer and fewer options now days.

I guess this is where I get to start telling the story about how when
I was a kid... and candy bars were a nickle... and all that.
