Yesterday one of our Chemists here at work stopped over to tell me
that the lab is dumping some HP stuff. We have (1) HP 8591E spectrum analyzer
with a non-functional CRT (video out still works though) and (2) HP 8447F's
OPT H64.
I would not mind the 8591E myself .. too bad about the display..
Just wondering if anyone knows of a market for the amplifiers or would know of a
way we could donate this stuff. Ideas on fixing the display would help .. had
repaired a couple of TV's myself twenty some years ago but kinda lack
equipment to do it myself.
For those of you not familar with the 8591E it is good to 1.8GHz.
As for the amplifiers they are rated to 1300Mhz ... had fun with them connected
to an outdoor antenna one time - made it easy to find the local TV station as
well as the VHF repeaters for local law enforcement. Ideas welcome off the
reflector please.
