Rj-45 are notorious for failures when used in the tug-pull-twist
application. I would bet it is the cord. Grab a cat5 computer cord and try
that. If your problem goes away you got a bad crimp connection. Just use the
patch cord for now until you can get someone to put on new ends. I had my
icom 2100h fail this wayabout 2 years ago. Still using the cat5 patch cord,
and I even have all the tools to fix my original Hi Hi.
