Bruce, let me know if the discrepancies are still there. Version
3.01-large, dated 09/24/05, should have the correct results now. You
can look at the "instructions" page to get the version number. The
other clue you have that you are using the corrected version is that
when you go to start it up, you (probably) will get a question about
enabling macros. This is because the new version uses VBA (Visual Basic
for Applications) code, shamelessly borrowed from KK6MK's excellent
programming code for the GL program, to do all the bearing and distance
calculations. So it should run faster, and by using a non-spherical
model of the earth, give the same results as BD (probably to within a
tenth of a kilometer or better, but almost certainly with less than the
former 1 Km errors sometimes seen with the old code). And by the way,
the errors with the old spherical model did not cancel out, when they
occurred, they were always under-predictions, never over-predictions.

If there are still any problems, I'd like to know so I can work on
ironing them out.

Oh, I forgot to mention... Holy cow! Only halfway into the contest and
you already have 70% of your total score from last year, and only
slightly less than 50% of the absolute top score from last year!!!!

I know I missed out on an extremely fun contest weekend. Fortunately, I
have no regrets, as my daughter's wedding was a pretty spectacular event
also! Keep up the good work everyone, and let's have as much fun on the
second weekend, when I can join you!!!
