Further to Jon's note...
I have it on GOOD authority that the author of the QST article for the 2006
UHF Contest will rely HEAVILY on what is in the Soapbox for material for the
article.
(I ALSO "hear" that said author *may* have a slight bias toward the Midwest
and thinks Rover-Mania is a GREAT concept.)
And NO need to apologize for not being able to resist, Jon...DO get those
UHF logs in! 110 "electronic" submissions so far is not bad (though 2
"checklogs" are within that total)...thanks to those who have submitted
electronically and also to those who have already sent via postal mail (and
are not included in that 110) but I sure hope to see more than last year's
183. The 108 "so far" breaks down as 76 single-op entries (133 was the total
in 2005), 11 Multi-ops (versus 18 last year) and 21 Rovers (2005 had 32
Rover logs), so it's looking pretty good!

Subject: [NLRS] Rovermania & ARRL Soapbox
Hello NLRS Land. Just a reminder that its REALLY easy to post a contest
soapbox on the ARRL's website. I just posted mine for the UHF contest &
Rovermania. Its a great way to gain some attention to this fun event and
to
show off your home station, talk-up what fun you may have had, or to
highlight
your rover or new station improvements. Give it a try. It would be way
cool to see a bunch of NLRS/CVVHF soapboxes.
Oh ya, get your logs in too (sorry, couldn't resist)
