..... and note that its assumes we are talking about a 50 ohm load in that
PDF file. If the load is something other than 50 ohms, then the conversion
table is wrong.
Also note dB itself is unitless because it is a ratio of two values.
Sometimes we add a third character like "m" as in "dBm" in which case its
referenced to something .... for dBm, 0 dBm is by definition 1 mW into a 50
ohm load.
For the IC-735, assuming a 50 ohm system, that 30mV is about -17dBm (17 dB
less than 1 mW), or about 0.02mW (20 microwatts). I had heard that the
Icom transverter ports have very low output power. If you need more power
to drive a transverter, you may need to add some more gain stages.
Perhaps DEM has a way to do this.
