[NLRS] 2.4GHz helix for AO-51 & Aurora

Hi All,

John is correct in saying that the range is calibrated for 2304.   I will
look at the equipment and see what happens at 2.4 GHz.  Since the source is
multiplied from a lower frequency I  think  output will be low or none.
The reference antennas have been calibrated at 2304.   At this late date we
cannot  have standards and sources available.
I have signal generators that will cover that band  and maybe a  horn
antenna that might work at 2.4 but not till after Aurora.

The antenna range should be able to measure the gain for you.  I'm not
sure if they can give you an absolute figure at 2400 MHz (as opposed to
2304 MHz), because it depends if their reference antenna has been
calibrated that far up the band.  I'm not sure how easy it will be to
measure the SWR or impedance without a 2400 MHz signal source.  That may
require a private session another day with one of the members who is
better-equipped with test gear than I am...
