Hi all,

I have just finished the paper work for the 10G weekends, all 20 log sheets
and four
dupe sheets. I will be in the 10G and UP category.

Here are the totals:

546 contacts on 10G and 2 on 24G for a total of 548 contacts.
98,568 distance points
2200 QSO points ( I worked 22 unique stations. 20 on 10G and 2 on 24G.
This is down a little from past years. )
100,768 total

Best DX on 10G 282 km.
Best Dx on 24G 5 km.

A big Thank You to everyone who was on for the Cumulative.

The first weekend had good conditions, with great but pretty warm weather.
The second weekend was a real mixed bag. Some rain on the Rovers on Saturday.
Many of the contacts were made by rain scatter. We only got rained on hard
at one stop. There was drizzle at a few other stops. Sunday was much warmer
for the rovers, unfortunately the Sisseton group was in fog. With a cold front
between us signals were weaker most of the day. Sunday was also filled with
attacks by the Minnesota state bird. It is amazing how many and how quickly
they arrive. A liberal application of bug spray really helped. Signals to Mike,
KM0T, were always good, except when
I was aiming into a hill covered with corn. The Eastern MN groups had good
signals most of the time. We chose one or two sites that were not the best to
the East so we had to go to CW a couple of times. Sorry about that.

I think almost everyone who was on achieved their best scores ever. The
exception
might be some of the Easter MN ops since the distances were short on many of
the
paths.

The question is what do we do to improve the scores for next year? I would
be thrilled to see our group put in 5 or more scores of over 100k. I know there
 has been
talk about going to Superior next August. Superior is a nice trip but
doesn't offer the
volume or distance totals that we have reached this year. We also need to
work on improving the speed of the rovers so the fixed stations don't have to
wait so long between contacts.

I'm looking forward to next year.
