Sounds like 323 is the number to use based on 6 character Grid Center to 6
character Grid Center and rounding to 0 decimal places, then.

To further beat this dead horse, however...my 'modified' version of GridLoc
for the Palm, that takes Maidenhead locators out to 8 characters reports
that the distance can be as little as 315km from EN15kp90 (SE sub-sub grid
of EN15kp) to EN34hl09 (NW sub-sub grid of EN34 hl) OR as large as 330km
from EN15kp09 (NW sub-sub grid of EN15kp) to EN34hl90 (SE corner of EN34hl).
Rule 6.5 does state that the center of the 6 character Maidenhead locator is
defined as the location reference for distance calculations and, on average,
that is probably the best as taking it further is as likely to help as it to
hurt distance calculations.

Regardless...it sounds like the 10 GHZ Contest effort for 2005 was another
GREAT effort by ALL the participants...my hats off to you all!

BD2004 reports EN34hl to EN15kp as 322.524 km. I would round this to
323 km.
