Here's what the ol' paper logs look like:
Claimed score 42,340
50: 65Q's and 35G's
144: 65Q's and 25G's
222: 41Q's and 21G's
432: 48Q's and 20G's
903: 11Q's and 10G's
1296: 8Q's and 5G's
365 Qso pts. X 116 Grids = 42,340
I operated about 19 hours of the contest.
Had I been on the whole time, I suspect my score would
have been at least 50% higher.
I must have missed quite a bit of the aurora that started
(according to chat logs over at www.dxers.info) about 0330Z
on Sat. night. I also must have missed some eskip on 50 during the
football game.
Wasn't pleased with myself for missing so many local rover Q's. Also
could have been a lot more motivated to call CQ in more directions.
903 is performing nicely. I don't hear as well as I am heard on 1296.
This was the first fair test of 2 beams and 2 rigs each on 144 and 432.
It seemed like it drove me more crazy than anything else. I definitely
felt (especially on Saturday) like I was missing a lot, instead of
catching
more. I might be overloading myself, considering all the activity there
is in a big contest like September's.
My guess is some really healthy scores are going to come in -- what
with all the varied propagation.
Had a nice run with some EN34 and EN44 ops in the last 25 minutes
of the test. It always seems like something interesting and good
happens
at the end of the contest and tonight was no exception.
73,
Todd KC9BQA EN63ao
