[NLRS] Gas prices and roving

Man, the recent increase in gas prices has got to put a dent in roving 
activites!!  I went from Eau Claire (WI) to Herbster (WI) (which by the 
way, looks to have a pretty decent shot across to the North Shore, but I 
bet you all knew that already) yesterday and back and put about $60 into 
the gas tank of the pickup truck.  I know, use a more fuel efficient 
vehicle, but I have a hard enough time packing radio gear, tripods, 
antennas, etc. into the bed of the truck...can't see it all fitting into 
the Saturn ;)

Here in Bloomer, gas was $2.74 on Wednesday (when I filled up).  Friday 
it was $3.25...that's 51 cents in 2 days!!  Fortunately, it dropped back 
down yesterday to $3.09.  Hope this trend reverses soon or the days of 
rovermania may be all but over for us not quite so die-hards ;)
