With the deadline for submission of logs for the September VHF QSO Party
upon us for both electronic AND for mailing of Paper Logs, the League's
"Logs Received" page for this event shows 501 logs as received
electronically. This is as of my capture of the web page just before 9am
today.

Again, I've had time to load the info into Excel so I have more
analysis.

The count of logs that specify a club is hanging in there at just over
half. 264 of the 501 have a Club Name listed (again, not counting the
"NA" and "NONE" clubs). PVRC added 5 to keep the lead with 28 entries,
followed by the Packrats (Mt. Airy) who added 6 for 23. The Badger
Contesters added 4 for 18 and are now in THIRD place, sneaking ahead of
the Pacific Northwest VHF Society, who remain at 16 entries and who are
now tied for 4th with the Society of Midwest Contesters thanks to their
increase of 4 to 16. NLRS and NEWS are now tied for 6th place with 15
entries each (adding 3 and 6, respectively). The Chippewa Valley gang,
now with a total of 9 logs, stays in 9th place. Again, this is based on
COUNTS of logs entered electronically...no score information is
available (yet...and once the Claimed Scores become available I will put
Yet Another report together).

Updating the counts by entry classes: Single-Op Low Power remains the
most popular class, now with 278 entries, followed by Single-Op High
Power, now with 105. Rovers are next with 51, Limited Multi with 28,
Unlimited Multi with 24 and QRP Portable with 13. (Still 2 without an
entry class...surprised the Robot accepted them.)

The update for entries by Section shows some changes. EPA leads there
with 39 (up from 29 as of last report) and WI is second with 26 (up from
21). MN and IL have risen to 21 (up from 18 and 17, respectively, as of
last report) and been joined by VA, knocking OH out of the top 5
sections.

Again this doesn't include any info about mailed logs...even if I know
from postings to the BC or NLRS Reflectors...this analysis is based ONLY
on electronically submitted logs as listed on the ARRL's "Logs Received"
web page for the September 2005 VHF QSO Party.

Remember that logs must be received by e-mail at the league or
postmarked by October 12, 2005...THAT'S TOMORROW!

If you've already mailed your log (be it via 'e' or 'snail'), THANKS! If
you haven't...please DON'T forget to do so (and, now that it IS the
"last minute" it _may_ be too late to ask for help...but if you still
need some assistance...someone _may_ be able to lend a hand to help get
your log in).

73, JK
