[NLRS] Not Quite So Last Minute Reminder - 432 MHz FALL Sprint tonight

It's the third in the series...hope you are collecting them all, it *IS*
tonight on 432 MHz, 7pm to 11pm local time (0000 to 0359 UTC).

Slightly different plan for me from the previous week's 144 and 222 MHz
Sprints...I will be in starting out at EN52sa (Plato Hill), then going to
EN51sx while out there. Hope to be 'back' to EN62ad (Nickol Knoll) by 9pm or
shortly after and will then decide about visiting EN61 which will also bring
me through EN52 and EN51 again (and very close to the vicinity of the actual
Grid Corner in that neighborhood of Elk Grove Village that we rovers often
haunt...encouraged by the strange looks we get from the residents).

Other than the target to be at EN62 at 9pm or shortly after, timing will be
dependent on activity and I will be driving through EN52 most of the way
from the EN52-51 starting ares toward EN62.

Sending this out even earlier today so I will have a chance to check for
e-mail replies before I leave the house (but I should also be on the road by
5pm local so I'm not rushed getting out west of Elgin to Ill Hwy. 47).

Will be back to the Diamond 10 element Yagi and running the FT-100D driving
my TE brick...looks like it's doing about 75 Watts...afraid the FT-100D is
weak on drive...I hope that's not an indication that the VHF/UHF PA in the
100D is beginning the common failure mode of those units.

Look for me around the calling frequency (432.100) and at 432.090 and
432.120. I will be checking FM (446.000) and TRYING to do that at bottom and
top of the hour (though NOT at 7pm) and will prefer to stay with horizontal
for FM but will be able to manually switch to a vertical mag-mount antenna
(but no amp) if necessary.

Again, Gary, N9GH, will ALSO be out in the Chicago area, operating as
NA9US/R. Mike, WB8BZK/R, indicated that he might be out and I'm also hoping
for a return visit by Marc, N8KWX/R, who dropped in for the 222 Sprint.

Hope to at least catch a few of you this evening (and remember to try 432
MHz before and after tonight's Badger Contesters 2m Net).

73, JK
