[NLRS] More SA thoughts

Hi all, thanks for the info on the SA's, several of you wrote me.  It 
sounds like the only way to stay in my budget is to get a 141T or 
something like the 496 and use external mixing.  They both have pros and 
cons.  Size isn't too much of a deal, although smaller is always better 
(except for the screen).  I guess the biggest question for me is I don't 
know how to use external mixing and I'm not sure if it would be accurate 
or not.  I like the idea of a newer unit with a larger screen and some 
output capability.  The only way to record something from the 141 is 
with a camera, that's kind of cumbersome I think. 

I'm also wondering if the specs are much better or worse from one to 
another, any thoughts?  Maybe what I'm trying to ask is except for size 
and external mixing what wouldn't I get with one or the other?

I'm not sure what all of my uses are but I'm thinking of looking at 
filters, the output of transmitters, ATV work, and just generally trying 
to learn more about RF etc. as well as be able to check out my rigs.
