Hmmmm...  I looked in my Beldon book and it takes a special RG6 to get past 300V, which is also true of most of the vanilla flavored RG11 styles.  All the antennas for FD are tuned to 75 ohms.  I buy RG11 on 1000' spools for $145 including shipping!  I think we are up to about 2500' now.

Death ray?  Nope.  I call it an egg beater.  It is 4 - 1/2wL vertical dipoles supported by one fiberglass pole.  It's not brilliant, but it does do about 5dBi of gain, which when compared to a ground mounted vertical (with a compromised ground), it is something on the order of 6-7dB.  But most importantly it is a vertical.  We have a 3-el monoband beam on a tower in the works.  By mounting this vertical on the other end of the farm, we can get about 45dB to 55dB of attenuation due to a combination of cross polarization and path losses due to separation.  So we can have two stations on each end of 20M.  It works great actually.  Only this year we want to use the egg beater gismo to get some gain out of the mix.  We gotta be LOUD you know.

We're doing the same thing on 40M with a pair of phased 1/4wL verticals on one end of the farm and a 2 element 40m beam on the other end.  On 80M we have a 1/2wL dipole on one end and a top loaded 40' stick of Rohn-20 as a vertical.  4500 Qs is not easy to do on FD you know.  Gotta be LOUD!  We did some 2900 Qs last year with no gain antennas.

I should would like to see a satellite station here.  You know of anybody?
