I have a newer version FT100D for sale. The radio has no output on 144 and 440 due to a blown final. They designed the FT100 using two sets of finals; one for HF thru 6m and one for 144/440. The 144/440 final was based on a SRF7043 Mosfet which is no longer available (??!!??). The design suffered from self oscillation and resulting thermal runaway. Thus, no output on 2m nor 440 (but receive is fine). I did try to fix the 2/440 output using a similar Mosfet package from another manufacturer, but it had significant distortion and I was not able to tame it. I would be happy to show someone else what I tried if they are interested.
The HF through 6m side runs great. This is my normal 6m radio, plus I have used it on HF on occasion from home and while mobile .... most recently during the MNQP while W0ZQ/m. On HF through 6m I have been very happy with this little radio. If the design was more reliabile on VHF/UHF, it would have been a real winner.
If anyone is looking for a nice way to get on 6m, or for a nice little HF thru 6m rig for mobile or cabin use, its yours for $450. Its clean and comes with the CW filter.
The reason that I am selling it is to buy a FT897 so that I can have 2m and 432 for roving (along with HF thru 6m). The FT897 has an internal battery compartment that I am investigating to see if it could house a 222 transverter (with a little work) .... 160m through 432, including 222, in one smallish box.
