FYI - Just spotted this one on the HFPackers list. AFAIK - EN29 is still
pretty rare on VHF/UHF here too.

Subject: [HFpack] More info on KC8QVO portable operations in EN29

Hi everyone, just wanted to give you a little update on whats going on this summer. I have 2 potential trips in the works to EN29. The QTH will be on an island on Lake of the Woods. The trip that is more set-in-stone is the next week after the 4th of July - so July 11-15, give or take a few days. The next trip that is not so set-in-stone is June 13-17, give or take a few days.

As of right now operations will be mainly VHF/UHF - 6m, 2m, 70cm. I will have all HF capabilities, so I might try a little QRP as well.
Equiptment is as follows - Radios:
                                        TS-2000 main rig
                                        IC-718 HF (when TS-2000 is on VHF/UHF)
                                      Antennas:
                                        Cushcraft A50-5S (5 ele 50mHz)
                                        Cushcraft 13B2 (13 ele 144mHz)
                                        M2 440-18
Tarheel Model 200 (80-6m Screwdriver - mobile and base)
G5RV (at least a 40-10m, mabee all the way down to 160)
20 feet of surplus military tent poles for a mast
                                rotator for positioning the beams

I will let everyone know more rock solid details as time passes, its still a bit far out to say EXACTLY when I will be there, but I will be there at some point.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!!!!. I know EN29 is a rare grid square and I want as many people out there to get it as we can talk to!!

73's,
KC8QVO
Steve D'Amico
