W9FZ:
June VHF--will rove starting in Milwaukee running north to 55/65 and then
working west finishing at 44/45. Can't make Q's till about 4pm on account
of mandatory Air Force meeting in Milwaukee.
RovermaniaII in August. W9FZ is a rover player. I will gladly go where
holes need filling. For instance, the Dakotas or Northern Wisconsin. Only
problem with Northern Wisc is that the terrain and trees suck up the higher
frequencies and distances workable will not be as far.
10G two weekends of planning options: Hate to burden the NLRS list with
too much chatter about that. I forget, do we have another reflector
appropriate for that chatter?
First off, let me say that WE DON'T HAVE TO keep doing the same things
we've been doing. So, if you don't WANT to--speak up!!!! Just so happens,
that I want to continue with Superior first weekend. I still am motivated
to find increasingly efficient operating procedures. And to show how
flexible I am, I will gladly go to EITHER side.
Secondly, when anyone says Sisseton, it doesn't mean the Rovers HAVE to go
to the Red River Valley. There are closer South Central Minnesota options
to work Sisseton. Just so happens that I LIKE the RRV--but please know
there is room for discussion on ALL of this.
Again, not sure if we have alternate reflectors for some of these
discussions. I don't want to be secretive, but I also know that the sheer
level of discussion required will be of little interest to some. I could
see separate reflectors for Rovermania and for 10G weekends discussions. I
have webspace and the ability to set them up--so does N0UK. Yet, a
significant part of the club will be involved with both activities so maybe
here is the best place after all.
