I am looking for ideas for a simple PTT switch to use between 2
transverters. I am using an Icom 706 MkIIG and DEM transverters. I tried
a simple AV switch but as soon as I move the switch to a different
position the tranverter goes into transmit. Any ideas would be
appreciated.

Jim, not sure what your doing ..... do you have one IF rig and two
transverters ? If so, do you have an A/B switch for the IF line AND a second A/B
switch for the PTT lines ? Often those "A/B" switches ground the non-selected
port .... if your PTT line is "ground-to-transmit", that could be the
problem. You can check for this with an ohm meter. A fix would be to find
another switch, or modify the one you have, so that it floats when its not
deselected.
