The bands were miserable.  Other than the saving grace
of 6-meters with the small opening to TX and the
Aurora on 6 and 2 meters, it would have been even
worse.  I could barely hear those stations which
usually are louder than all get out.  Via Aurora I did
pick up a few new grids on 6 and especially 2 meters. 
Hopefully the next contest is a bit better...at least
we can say that we did have some openings this time
