Please don't take my band running complaint to be pointed at ROVERS! Its
pointed at the entire VHF contest scene. Works the same whether rover or
fixed station, whether single or multi op. Just can't get contacts on
bands other than 2m without starting on 2m and running the bands. Most
of the time those running run so fast that polite tail ending, (waiting
in their first QSO is just complete) isn't heard. So its not possible to
fail to have a superb 2m station and antenna and make contacts even with
better antenna and power on that other band.

So I put up a 5wl M2 for 2m. Now it ripped the rotor apart in the gentle
Iowa winter vespers and I can only work stations down wind which takes
me out of competitions for a while.
