I appreciate the postings to the list so far. Please keep them coming.
We especially focus on NLRS, Badger Contesters, and Chippewa Valley
Contesters, but are happy to include information from the Upper Midwest
in general. Also, please consider checking the NLRS web page to see if
I have your data entered correctly.
A friendly request to help me get the page as accurate as possible:
1. please do give the band-by-band breakdown of QSO's and Mults as
well as the total, as most have done
2. please mention your operating class
3. please mention your 6-digit Maidenhead grid (fixed station) or
number of grids activated (rover station)
4. please mention your club affiliation for points reporting.
5. please mention if your log is submitted, and how (electronic or mail)
Notes on these items:
1. This helps me check for errors in score calculation or in reporting
of Q's/Mults. Found a few already.
2. If I have no info, I default to SOHP, but that's surely not always
true.
3. For the grid, if I have no info, I will go to QRZ.com and use what
I find there. If you have a PO Box address or an address that QRZ can't
find, it will default to the grid where "downtown" is located in the
city where you reside, which may not be accurate. If QRZ.com does NOT
show your grid correctly, there IS a way to submit the information to
them and they will update their page gladly.
4. I'll try to guess your club if I have to, but, my guess is only a
guess...
5. I will soon begin checking the ARRL "logs received" page and verify
the club affiliations, but of course that only works for electronic
submissions. (As Homer Simpson would say, "Doh!") That will also help
me correct mistakes in #2, #4, and #5.
General comments:
I thought I had done well, but I am suitably impressed by the scores
I've seen so far! Yikes, I have a lot of improving to do if I plan to
keep up with this group! Congratulations are in order.
P.S., the quickest route to the score page is:
http://www.nlrs.org/ContestScores/Admin/DisplayScores_VHF.php?Contest_ID=6&Year=2005
...but if you have trouble pasting that into your browser (your mail
client may break the line into two), just go to the NLRS home page and
scroll down to the claimed scores section, and hit the link there.
