Unfortunately I will not be playing in the June VHF contest on Saturday. The good news is that I will be out roving ALL DAY on Sunday, from early to late, with 6m through 10G. I'll be small on 6m with just 100 watts and a mobile whip, but my intent is to do a shake down cruise in preparation for Rovermania. Here is the rest of the station:
6m 100w Mobile whip
2m 50w 4 ele
222 100w 4 ele
432 100w 11 ele
903 10w 6' looper
1296 50w 6' looper
2304 5w 8' looper
3456 40w 5' looper
5760 2w unknown antenna .... perhaps 17dB horn
10g 6w 22" dish
My primary frequency will be 144.175 and 222.075 where I can listen full time when not busy. I will QSY to 50.175, 432.075, 902.100, 1296.100, 2304.100, 3456.100, 5760.100, and 10368.100.
I have not chosen a route yet, but I would like to activate six to eight grids on Sunday. With just the vertical whip on 6m I don't expect much there, but I should be able to work everyone who shows up on all the other bands without too much difficulty. I will post my final plans as they develop over the next few days.
Remember that the June VHF contest is a club competition, so put NLRS on your entries.
Get on and have some fun (and oh ya, work me !)
73, Jon
