Greetings
Another handy weak signal source are the
Qualcomm 1ghz PLL boards modified per the
documents on the San Bernardino Microwave
web pages - with a chip diode soldered across
an SMA bulkhead along with a dc return made
from magnet wire, I can get harmonics up to
24.192. Plus, in a pinch, hook up a connectorized
mixer, antenna, and appropriate 2m if switching
and you have a qrp 1.2ghz rig.
In a somewhat related bit of news, I was able
to get a good 47088Mhz harmonic out of a diode
multipler block that was cut out of a larger
39ghz down converter. So, onward with the
47g station....
