As a form of cross training, I plan to enter next Saturdays Minnesota QSO
Party as a HF mobile. Look for me on the following freq's +/- QRM :

7060 CW
14060 CW
14280 SSB
7260 SSB

I'm going to activate the following counties in this order:
Hennepin
Carver
Wright
McLeod
Sibley
Scott
LeSuer
Waseca
Steele
Rice
Dodge
Goodhue
Then maybe either Dakota or Olmsted & Wabasha depending on time.

The W0ZQ/m is a FT100D and 20m and 40m ham-sticks. Compared to VHF roving
I feel a bit underdressed.

The MNQP starts at 8:00 AM Feb 5 and runs until 6:00 PM, just 10 hrs. The
contest exchange is your first name and your county. You can work a station
on CW and then on SSB, twice per band. Go the Minnesota Wireless
Association website at _http://www.w0aa.org/_ (http://www.w0aa.org/) to get the full
rules (click on MNQP Homepage). There are HF, QRP, mobile, portable, and
VHF categories. There is also a FREE logging software program that works
very well .... I used it last year. Bruce, W9FZ, took the VHF honors last
year and receive a very nice plaque ... much nicer than any ARRL contest honor.

I hope to work all my VHF friends who also cross over to the HF spectrum
from time to time. As this is a "The World" works MN and MN works "The World"
contest, you can attract a lot of attention whether you work SSB, CW, or both.

73, Jon
