[NLRS] MidWinter Madness and MN QSO Party

Hello NLRS land.

First off, MidWinter Madness is Saturday, March 19,  at the Buffalo Civic 
Center in Buffalo, MN.    Club tables are  $15.00 and unless someone has a good 
reason for us not to have one, I plan to  send them a check this weekend.   
Earl, are you willing/able to  coordinate our club table again ?    Our banner 
has taken a bit  of a pounding (I have it) and perhaps we should consider an 
upgrade or  ??.    I have NLRS brochures left over from the last hamfest  (thanks 
Russ).
 
Second, don't forget that the Minnesota QSO Party (contest) is Saturday,  Feb 
5, and runs from 8 am (1400 UTC) to 6 pm (2400 UTC).   The contest  exchange 
is your first name and your county.    There are contest  categories for HF, 
HF QRP, HF mobile, and VHF.   Those who got on  and played in this contest last 
year, and there were 15 NLRS members who  submitted scores, can tell you that 
it was a hoot.   The full rules  can be found at _www.w0aa.org_ 
(http://www.w0aa.org)   .   The website also contains a downloadable MNQP logging program  
that works very well .... I used it for my HF log last year.  Check  out the 
mobile county activation page .... almost looks like a rover plan  .... almost. 
 If all goes per plan (???), watch for W0ZQ/mobile on HF only  for this year 
MNQP.
