I'm going to try another grids-adjoining-EN34 rove for the January 2005 ARRL
VHF+ Sweeps. I'm going to start in the southeast near St. Charles and work
clockwise to the west. I'm allocating 2 hours per grid square.

I'm splitting my time in EN24, spending one hour on the south end of EN24 near
Beauford and the second half on the north end in Winsted. Paths to the twin
cities on 902 & 1296 should be shorter (43 miles 66 miles) and clearer from
Winsted.

Option 1: 8 Grids

Location	Grid	Time	Start Time	End Time	Time To
In Grid	In Grid In Grid Next Grid
Apple Valley	EN34js 11:00 AM	2:00
Utica N EN44aa	2:00 1:00 PM 3:00 PM	0:30
St.Charles E	EN43aw	2:00 3:30 PM 5:30 PM	0:30
St.Charles E	EN33xw	2:00 6:00 PM 8:00 PM	1:00
Kasson SE	EN34pa	2:00 9:00 PM	11:00 PM	1:00
Waseca 12:00 AM 7:55 AM	1:05
Beauford SW	EN23xw	2:00 9:00 AM	11:00 AM	0:30
Beauford W	EN24xa	1:00	11:30 AM	12:30 PM	3:00
Winsted EN24xx	1:00 3:30 PM 4:30 PM	0:30
Howard Lake	EN25wb	2:00 5:00 PM 7:00 PM	0:30
Delano EN35ca	2:00 7:30 PM 9:30 PM

Option 2: 7 Grids, overnight at home

If the trip doesn't go well (deep snow, bitter cold, broken equipment, not
making contacts) I may drop going to EN23. In that case, after EN33xw, I'll
head back to the twin cities and go to Winsted on Sunday.

Eagan EN34ks	0:30	10:00 PM	10:30 PM
Eagan EN34ks	2:00	10:00 AM	12:00 PM
Winsted EN24xx	2:00 2:30 PM 4:30 PM

I haven't seen any other rover schedules but in the past, others have taken
144.240 & 144.250. I've had poor results when I've used a liason frequence
that was further off the calling frequency, so I'll use 144.230 as my primary
liason frequency. I'll use go-to frequencies of 50.230, 222.130, 432.130 and
the calling frequency on 902 and above.

Bands: ABCD9E

If it's warm, I'll also try 10GHZ.

A big THANKS to Brent, KD5EMB, for the loan of a 222 transverter, antenna and
IF rig.

Glen, KC0IYT
