Hello, all you NLRS and Badger Contester members, and listserve lurkers.

I have been working on my writeup about my journey to 10 GHz,
culminating in the 2004 contest. The web page is far from done, but you
can see a lot of the work has been done by checking out this location:
  http://www.qsl.net/w0jt/2004-08-10GHz/index.htm

Unfortunately, I love pictures, and QSL.NET serves up pictures slowly,
so it may take quite a while to load. And if you have a low-speed
connection, that will make matters worse. I am concentrating on getting
the content completed. Once that is done, I will work on making a
version of the page that is more friendly to low-bandwidth connections.

I do have a few requests from specific recipients of this message (sorry
for boring all of you with them):

1) Bob, W0AUS: I would like to have a picture of the 10 GHz transverter
loaner rig you let me use in 2003, if you have one (or more). Also, I
would like to know the specs on the unit, e.g. how much power output,
and what the gain of the horn was. This will go into my section on the
prior years' experience.

2) Donn, WA2VOI: I would like to have a picture or pictures of the
loaner WBFM rig that you let me use in 2002, if possible. Also,
pointers to web sites that had the building instructions, for the sake
of historical documentation, and who knows, someone might still want to
build one!

3) Jon, W0ZQ: You sent me 3 photos, MVC-005F.jpg, MVC-012F.jpg, and
MVC-013F.jpg -- may I have your permission to use them? Do you have the
original (un-shrunk) pictures? (I would like to post them in several
resolutions, as with my other pictures.) Can you tell me the locations
from which they were shot, or the original date/time info from which I
can infer which stop they were taken at?

4) Bruce, W9FZ: I would like to refer to your web page for the "Twin
Cities Technique" for building systems with a link on my page, so could
I get the URL from you again? Also, I believe you had a web page about
your Red River Valley run of this year, but I can't seem to locate it
now, and I'd love to refer to that also. Also, I shamelessly lifted
your annotated Radio Mobile map of Lake Superior (with attribution, at
least), and since I failed to ask for permission in advance, I'd now
like to ask for forgiveness after-the-fact. I still might make my own
map for this spot, with "just" the paths that we worked this year, but
that takes time, which is something I sorely lack these days.

5) Anyone else who participated: If you have a web page describing your
participation, I'd be interested in the URL so I can refer readers of my
site to your site via a link. (There's my justification for sending all
this to EVERYONE!)
