Just flew in from Seattle. Temp was 60 degrees at 9000 feet. Stayed 55
degrees down to 2500 AGL. Then, in the next 700 feet down to 1800AGL it
dropped 23 degrees. Will the distance between the surface and the
inversion be the proper duct for your frequency of interest? Hard to say,
but listen around on repeaters, beacons, or make some noise on 6m through
at least 432.

Nice fog across the Upper Midwest this Tuesday AM. Check out all the
temperature inversions across the Upper Midwest at this website
_http://www.rap.ucar.edu/weather/upper/_ (http://www.rap.ucar.edu/weather/upper/) .... click
on the location to get the skew-t plots ..... temperature plot on the right
(red), humidity on the left (green) with altitude. Warm dry air over wet
cool air.

So far, I have not heard anything on 2m ..... local beacons are average or
perhaps below average.
