All in all a pretty good contest here, in fact my highest
score ever for a UHF contest. The few UHF contests I did
before I did not put in as much effort and the rovers were
scarce. This year I put in a pretty serious effort, even more
of an effort than I originally thought I would. Having W9FZ/R
in my back yard for some easy Q's that got the score climbing
early on was a great motivator. And on Sunday having K9JK/R
cruising by kept things decently interesting right up to the
end.

Like others noted not a lot of good propagation. Things
popped open briefly Saturday evening late-ish and I worked
KM0T with big signals. Some of the best signals I've seen
from Mike for some time. I heard bits and pieces of some 3's
both Saturday evening and again Sunday morning but couldn't
make any Q's with them though, - bummer. My best DX to the
east was EN91.

Unfortunately I could not get much beyond EN34/33 to the west
for most of the contest so couldn't reach the RM II's rovers
out beyond those grids at all. Also nary heard a peep from
K0AWU in EN37 like I usually do for most contests. Conditions
to the south were generally pretty good, just not much
activity to be found there. I also had pretty bad noise on
222 to my south at the Start of the contest but luckily it
was mostly gone by Saturday evening.

The numbers:
                VALID QSO GRID SQUARE
                 QSOs POINTS MULTIPLIERS
222 MHz 45 135 25
432 MHz 40 120 23
TOTAL 85 255 48

Claimed score: 12240
Category: SOLP
