Okay, here's a partial plan. I'm sitting down with mapquest and trying
to figure out what is quasi-resonable. I'm trying to allow for a
little extra travel time to find a good place. IF ANYONE KNOWS SOME
GOOD SPOTS ALONG THIS ROUTE I'D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU--IT'S ALMOST ALL
NEW TO ME. I have some good topo maps, but that doesn't tell me where
the trees and corn are planted. I'm trying to hit the less-familiar
stuff during daylight.
Sat:
1pm: ~EN03qu (Ft. Randall, SD)
3:30 ~EN02qx (nr. Gross, NE)
6:30 ~EN01rx (nr. Bartlett, NE)
9:30 ~EN00xx (nr. Aurora, NE)
midnight EN10su (nr. Waverly, NE)
>From there I'll have to see how it goes. I may have to get a couple
hours of sleep, but if the adrenaline is still coming I'll try to spend
some time in EN20au, EN11, and EN21 while coming up I-29, I'm less
familiar with the territory. I will be at the EN12/13/22/24 grid
corners around 10:30am on Sunday, which should give me a chance to work
a few QSOs since I'll be closer to the activity.
If the 222 xvtr arrives today I will be on 222, 432, 902, 3456, 5760 and
10 GHz. Antennas are already on the car. I won't be running big power,
so I'm likely to be sending alot of CW. I'll try to scare up some of
the KS folks while flying down rt. 281. I should be pointing at N0LL
most of the time while on the road Saturday afternoon.
