Mike et al,
I've used large diameter bolts (e.g. 3/4", 1", 1-1/2")...get a long enough
bolt that there is some non-threaded portion. It's real easy to 'chuck' the
hex head in a table vise. Someone (Glen?) mentioned wooden dowels...also
good but stick to larger diameters...maybe even closet pole? Generally, when
bending, you want to pull the ends (or at least one end) as you bend the
semi-rigid around whatever "form" (bolt, dowel, etc.) you are using.
It's also better to bend BEFORE installing connectors, the center conductor
does not necessarily stretch the same amount as the outer tube. Because of
that, if you are trying to form pieces that already HAVE connectors on the
ends...there is a good likelihood of internal failure, especially if pushing
smaller bend radii.
I've never tried this but I believe Auto Parts stores sell benders for small
diameter brake lines that may be usable.

Some hobby stores sell small conduit benders. I ususally use a scredriver
handle, various sizes are available. Bruce N2LIV
