[NLRS] BC superfest and 144 sprint

Hi all;

 

We had over 20 members show up for drinks and pizza on Friday nite at
the Manchester east, and a fun time was had by all.  There were 4
systems for 10 gig present, and talk about 10 gig, and the future of the
BCers was the main effort.  I want to thank all for coming, and
participating.  We discussed our Bylaws, and a mission statement to be
created.  More about this will be posted soon.  We also reviewed the
membership requirements, and future participation in the VHF contests.
Moving our circle to try for accommodation of Michigan VHFers was
discussed, and recruitment efforts by clubmembers also was discussed.

 

Ted, 'LLT and I took some pictures, and when I email mine to Ted, there
will be some photos of the group up on the website.

 

I also 'did' the 144 sprint last night, and had 40 Q's in 13 grids.  We
had some Au early in the test, with VE3FGU and W1IPL/7 among others
going into the log.  Though I only operated about 2.5 hours out of the
4, I had fun.  Did not push it, and called no CQs, only answered guys,
or called them on a tail-end.
