Sorry to hear how quiet things were up in the Twin Cities...it was a little
bit better down here in the Chicago area, though, without Roving, it would
have been rather dismal.

Of course, my plans changed, so I started in EN51, rather than EN52 as I had
planned and originally posted. I also did cover ALL 4 Local Grids instead of
'just' EN52 and EN62. Turns out that yielded better results. Also, as
promised in the original posting, I did specifically point NW in several of
the 25 to 30 minutes after and 55 minutes after to the top of the hour slots
and called CQ on both SSB and CW but heard nothing from up toward the Twin
Cities.

My totals:
Grid Qs Gs
EN51 8 6
EN61 8 6
EN52 6 3
EN62 12 6

Of 14 different callsigns in the log, 9 of them were worked 'narrowband'
(SSB or CW) and the other 5 on FM, though just over 1/2 the contacts (18)
were on FM. The only stations I worked outside of the local 4 Grids
(EN51,61,52,62) were on SSB or CW: W9UD (EN41) but only from the first grid,
even though I mentioned I would be visiting other grids later; N9LR (EN50)
twice; K9EA (EN71) once; W9GA (EN53) three times; and KC9BQA (EN63) once
(with some very unusual QSB on Todd's signal).

I even worked K0PG once withOUT a "/R" (it was VERY hard to stop writing
after the "G").

Hoping for better conditions and activity for the 432 Sprint next Weds.

73, JK
