We had a good time with Dermot out in SDak. Working an EI2 station on
10 GHz's from SD doesnt happen very often. It was interesting to talk
radio & microwaves with him and his experiences & perspectives. I noticed
on Sat. that he didnt have a hat (iwe had 100% Sun all day on Sat) so I
gave him my spare NLRS cap .... so if you are ever travelling to Ireland
some time and see a guy wearing a NLRS cap, say hi to Dermot.

Thanks go to Chris, N0UK, for travelling with him.

I wanted to take a moment and thank those of you who took time to contact
Dermot, EI2AK, who is a visiting Microwave enthusuast and even take him out

with you during the 2nd part of the 10 Ghz contest. We were having a garage

sale this past Saturday and his daughter stopped by to thank me. I told her

that the thanks went to all of you. She was surprised that he would up and
run
off with strangers to South Dakota. I assured her that you were not
strangers,
but part of a big brotherhood that knows no boundaries, other than grid
squares. :)
