Lots of great scores and stories showing up on the reflector, 3830, and on
the ARRL contest soap box site. Its very gratifying to see comments from
others outside of NLRS land comment on the activity from the EN34, EN44 and
surrounding area. This increasing level of activity is undoubtedly due
to the NLRS and the activity & support that it generates.

For example, here is a cut & paste from just a part of K2DRH's (EN41,
Illinois) write up that appeared on the 3830 contest reflector:

"Seems like this contest there was lots more action from the north and
west than I usually hear, and I was definitely going for worked all EN34
and 44! It was wonderful to hear all the activity! "

As a result of all this activity, I want to again re-emphasize that we
encourage all NLRS members who live in our clubs service area to submit
their scores for the NLRS. Our service area can be seen at
http://www.nlrs.org/ServiceArea.jpg Our club goal of 51 logs will not be
accomplished if our scores are fractured into small subgroups. The
deadline for log submission is Oct 13.

PS: Good luck to all 10GHz Ops this weekend during the second part of the
10gigs contest. I'm looking forward to the reports from that activity
next week !
