I've been working 7 or 8AM to midnight or 1AM most weekdays, and "only"
10-12 hours each on Saturdays and Sundays lately. Hence, my no-show
last weekend for the September VHF contest. (I had told Rich "limited
hours", figuring I'd at least get in a few hours on Sunday, but he left
off that tag on his last announcement, and then I didn't get a chance to
even turn on the radios for the whole weekend anyway.) I hope none of
you wasted a lot of time looking for me.

Which brings us to this coming weekend, in the 10 GHz and up contest.

I really hate to piss away a great start that I had last month on the
North Shore, but there is simply no way I can do much for the second
weekend. Work is in the way again.

I could possibly set up at Burnsville by 7 AM and try to nab a few QSO's
if anyone is ready to go, then pack up the gear and go to work. I could
probably sneak out around lunchtime to one of the sites in Mendota
Heights for about an hour, as that is not too far from the VA Hospital
where I work.

Does anyone know if there is a shot to Sisseton from either of those
sites? If it is possible from Burnsville, I *might* be able to hang out
until those guys get started at 0900 CDT, and just get to work a bit
late. I'm guessing that Mendota Heights would not have a great shot to
most of the sites that Gary will be working in the early afternoon,
unless by reflection from downtown.

Should be an easy shot from Burnsville to Monticello, which would be
another incentive for me to wait at least until he gets started (0800?
0900?) instead of operating only 7A-8A before going in to work.

Sorry that my plans suck so bad, and are still so uncertain at best.
With a little luck, I will have liason radio capability on 40M through
2M plus 70cm, SSB or FM, but only vertical polarization omnis and little
to no antenna gain. If not all those bands, then 2M/70cm plus at least
ONE band between 10M and 40M inclusive (take your pick). Cell phone is
952~484~8365.
