You all know that there will be 4 or 5 operators at Sisseton.

Only Glen KC0IYT and myself are scheduled to rove in the Red River
Valley. I'm trolling for anyone else who would want to join us.

The plan is to start in the Fargo area on Saturday morning pretty close
to 9am (when Sisseton says they'll be on the air). Then, working
northbound up the interstate, proceed to work Sisseton, Mt Tom (if
active), and Wally W0PHD in EN-18 repetitively. Contacts will get
longer and longer to Sisseton and shorter and shorter to Wally. I
contend that "normal" weather should allow contacts the entire length of
the RRV. If my contention is correct, we'll continue to make contacts
to Pembina on the Canadian border. Then we'll start working west past
Cavalier up on to the higher ground near Langdon to activate EN08 for
Wally. Then weaving E and W we'll proceed to track Southbound.

I expect we'll overnight in Cavalier, Langdon, or Karlstadt. Sunday
we'll continue to track southbound. Around noon or one we'll start
making a straight line for the Cities hoping to be at Montecello or Mt
Tom by 3pmish so that we can work a few more callsigns in SE Minnesota
at least once.

So, if conditions are good, I expect us to get VERY good at setting up
our equipment over and over again. Sure, it's a lot of driving, but I
hope it yields LOTS of QSO's and some at respectable distances.

Who wants to join the W9FZ Rover pack for the Sept weekend?
