Subject: [NLRS] September VHF Contest and FM announcement
Calling all VHF and above operators for the September VHF QSO Party. We
need your help to send another LOUD message from the Upper Midwest! The UHF
August contest was a HUGE Success due to the addition of new operators.
Once again operators from the Northern Lights Radio Society (NLRS) are
pulling out
all the stops to make this Operating Event the largest VHF Club event ever
staged in the Midwest! All logs entered with Northern Lights Radio Society
on the log will qualify the log for club entry. To enter a log for the
NLRS, email Rich at n0hjz at aol.com before the contest. There will be at
least seven rover stations out portable across Minnesota and the surrounding
areas with all bands from 50 MHz to 24 GHz. Local activity on all bands
will again be immense.
Please join us from 1:00 pm Saturday, September 11th through 10:00 pm,
Sunday, September 12th for this fun event. Look for SSB operation near
50.125, 144.200, 222.100, 432.100 and the other calling frequencies. Look
for lots of FM activity on 146.55, 146.580, 223.500 and 446.000 FM simplex
during
the FM 'activity periods' from 8-10 pm Saturday and 8-10 am Sunday.
Join us as we post the largest Club scores ever produced in this operating
event in the Midwest! The NLRS is trying to get over a hundred logs turned
in from Minnesota to show the rest of the country where the real
VHF/UHF/Microwave activity is happening.
