GM Guys
Much better 10Ghz test with Garth this morning. 5-9 signals with some
multipath. Garth's rotator is VERY fast and "bumping" his rotator to try to
verify the heading would cause him to loose the path at times.
I ran from the front yard his morning and the path seemed to be in a slightly
different dirrection than what I recalled from this spring when we worked with
the dish pointed out of an upstairs window. Elevation was also a bit lower than
I expected, but with signals as strong as they were and Garth playing with his
dish at the same time may have mislead me.
In my previous post regarding our return this coming Thur, I failed to
mention that I had the 10ghz system with me. So if anyone is around on Thur and
sees 10Ghz RS chances develop as I travel north, try 144.200.
Talked to Terry W0VB again this morning, he was peaking S-9 again, but the
signals had more QSB and I was weaker on his end than before. I was on with a
number of the MO/IL/KS guys last night from 10pm until late (144.200) lots of
fun to ragchew ... 144.180 and 144.260 also used at different times.
I'll be around some today and can be located for RS attempts from EM39ka
