Ray, Jon, and other NLRSers,

www.mods.dk is an amazing source of radio mods and has MANY Manuals (mostly 
instruction but quite a few service, as well).

For the 746...you appear to be in luck, Ray...there is a Service Manual 
listed though it is a LARGE file (almost 50 MB):

49.539 Kbytes
(Remember that this site is in Denmark so the period between the 9 and the 5 
is NOT a decimal point. Per 'European number writing convention', it the 
same as 'our' commas to separate thousands, so don't be thinking I made a 
mistake and the file is only 50 KB.)

No joy for Jon at mods.dk, though. All I see for the IC-47x series are some 
instruction manuals:

Maybe try places like manualman.com and manualmall.com?

Jon's searching reminded me.....   time to steal his idea...

I am looking for someone with a service manual for my regular ol icom
746 ..

 The POS pyramid power supply lost regulator and cranked around 25 volts
into it for awhile...  Now the output on the hf side and the 2 meter
side is low...(5 watts)  I would suppose this could be a few different
things.. like the RF power transistor's or bias control damaged? or
maybe the alc system is damaged... I really have no clue.. all I know is
it still kinda works QRP :-(..  really don't think I can afford to send
it in...

Anyone with any good idea what to look at?
