I downloaded the list of logs that the League has received electronically
for the September VHF contest and did a quick Excel sort over lunch today.

First, a big thanks to Rich, N0HJZ, for bird dogging us to get our logs in.

According to my sorting, as of noon on Oct 13, the NLRS had 40 logs in the
electronic log submission file. Hopefully there are another 11 logs via
paper to get us to our goal of entering as an unlimited club. Even if we
don't make that goal, and its gonna be close, it appears that we do have
nearly twice as many logs submitted as the second place club. It also
appears that if we end up in the medium club category that we are in a dog
fight for third place with the Mt. Airy VHF Society.

Here is a very quick, VERY UNOFFICIAL tally based only on the electronic
log submission page:

Club # Logs Club Score
NLRS 40 736,532
Potomac Valley 23 1,821,478
Mt. Airy VHF 21 777,990
Pac. NW VHF 15 236,686
Badger Cont. 13 278,852
NEWS Grp 12 2,273,944
WSWSS 10 79,569
SMC 9 274,682

In scanning the individual scores it appears that KM0T may have a 5th place
SOHP in the nation while N0KP may be 4th in the SOLP class.

Again, a big thanks to all NLRS members and especially to those who sent in
logs.

73, Jon
