Hi again, Jon.
Did a bit of looking. The Directive Systems dual band feed and the W5LUA
dualk band feed are the same. More importantly, they are for a .3 - .45
f/D dish. The DSS dishes are about .7 f/D. While it'll work on the DSS
dishes, its a LONG WAY from optimial.
Check out W1GHZs Online Antenna Book (<www.w1ghz.cx>) then scroll down to
the Book icon. There may be something there. Also, look for Paul's
antenna design software (HDL_ANT, I think).
You may have to look at the 10/24GHz dual band that he has on his web page,
and then use HDL_ANT to design a similar feed for 5/10GHz. You'll need to
add a conical horn for the 5 GHz portion. This is not too hard: the
problem, of course, is that it may require machining the taper for the
10GHz section and maybe even the conical horn for the 5 GHz section.
