Weather and other stuff dependent, I am planning on a 24 hr rover operation
for the August UHF contest. The route that I am currently looking at
will cover twelve grids in southern MN and northern Iowa. I am currently
estimating one hour of operating time in each grid which will put some
pressure on the fix stations to find me and work me before I move on. I
plan on 20 minutes to move to adjoining grids, and for major moves to the
next grid corner 2 hrs for north/south moves and 2.5 hrs for east/west
moves. I will be capable of working on the fly as best possible using
small boom yagis fixed to the car on all bands, but will also have a
stacked pair of omni's on 222.

Here is my (preliminary) proposed route & times:

EN24 1:00 PM Bueford, MN grid corner. Skip EN34 until Sunday.
EN23 2:20 PM Bueford
EN33 3:40 PM Bueford
EN32 6:40 PM Near Algona, Io
EN22 8:00 PM Near Algona
EN12 11:30 PM Near Orange City, Io.
EN13 12:50 AM Near Orange City, Mike, have breakfast ready !
EN14 3:35 AM Near Lake Wilson, MN
EN15 6:20 AM Near Madision, MN
EN25 9:35 AM Winstead, MN
EN35 10:55 AM Winstead
EN34 12:15 AM Home & sleep.

As of right now, my rover station will have the following bands (a lot of
construction underway ! ):

222 120 watts, pair of stacked omnis. I may add a small yagi if I can
find one. Anyone have one that I can borrow ?
432 I'll have something .... my FT100D is broke right now. 6' boom
yagi.
1296 50 watts and 6' boom loop yagi
2304 6 watts and 6' boom loop yagi
3456 Under construction. 40 watts and 5' boom yagi
10G 22" dish and 6 watts. This will need to be deployed at each stop.

If I get all this work done in time I may look at adding 902 somehow, but
right now its a bridge to far. I plan to use 222.150 as my primary freq
and .150 for all other bands (432.150, 1296.150, 2304.150, 3456.150, and
10,368.150).
