Hmmmm...Rich, you missed the posts on 24 ghz operations, failures,
rainscatter, etc. :) Maybe that was last month, I dont remember exactly.
Here is what I have going on here....
Im building a transverter for 902 Mhz, used to drive and test 902 amps for
distribution. Needed to generate high power signals on our band to combat
the part 15 devices and expand activity there. I have never built one a
transverter, so I thought it would be a neat project.
Im working on a 24 Ghz beacon project, but currently having trouble with my
brick 12 ghz occillator, working on a more reliable power supply for it.
Worked some 6M Es from the mobile the other day, always on and waiting when
Im cruizing around, which has been alot lately for work.
Answered a request for a 432 Mhz schedule....
Working on a power point presentation for CSVHF...
Dealing with VHF contest committee items....
Just set up a meteor scatter schedule for 2M....
I came across 2 pallets of Airspan 2.4 ghz wireless internet patch antennas,
rf access modems, power supplies, etc that could possibly used for our use
in some fashion. I have so much of the stuff I dont know where to start. I
was going to reaserch it a bit and post to see who might want some for
experimenting. Stay tuned for details...NLRS gets first dibs. Earl, do you
copy? Help me sort it out?
I watch for AU and band conditions every day, on the propagation loggers,
various wx maps and Heburn, etc. If something is brewing, I typically drop
what Im doing and get on. If the openings are very general, I dont get on
due to constraints in time. I have to pick and choose what I do for the
next year or so due to family committments. I guess one other thing is that
I dont get to take more time posting stuff. That sure adds to the illusion
that EN13 is dead...
Granted, I have been on the bands very little recently, probably only a
smidge more than you Rich. I too wonder what is going on. But its the way
it has to be for me now.
Will be on in full force for the June contest. 50 mhz thru 24 ghz. Just
had not posted anything official. Working out the details to remove or
reduce the local QRM in the house for the weekend :)
So, I have lots on my plate, everything is local QRM dependent.....
What is everyone else up to? Besides waiting for the next F2 6 Meter DX
season! I think Rich's idea is a good one for everyone take a minute and
think about it and post to the reflector about what your up too!
