The new W0ZQ/R system has had a successful shake down test this morning.
Drove over to Hudson, Wisc, about 25-30 miles each way at freeway speeds with
no mechanical discomfort whatsoever. In EN34PX I worked N0HJZ on 222 and
432 with his new rover antennas, and W0GHZ with big signals from 222 thru 5760
... we tried 10gigs but he has a big tree in that direction that has caused
us problems in the past. Bill, K0AWU found us on 432.150 and we worked
there, and on 222 with a very good signal. We then QSYed to 1296 and worked with
S3 SSB signals. On to 10gigs and after a few minutes of playing we had a
solid CW contact on that band .... EN37 to EN34PX on 222, 432, 1296 and
10gigs.
Thanks to Rich, Bill, and Gary for the test, it was actually lots of fun on
my end. Looking forward to Rovermania next weekend.
73, Jon
